The Center Tower of Island Cove

Barbados rises twelve stories at 315 Dunes Blvd, the middle of the three Island Cove towers that opened The Dunes in 2001, with Antigua to one side and Cayman to the other. Its western stacks look across the mangrove preserve and Turkey Bay toward Wiggins Pass and the Gulf of Mexico, and like its neighbors it permits thirty-day leases up to twelve times a year, the most flexible rental terms at The Dunes.

Residences at Barbados

Barbados shares its plans with Antigua: three-bedroom residences with two or three baths at roughly 1,890 to 2,190 square feet under air, a handful of two-bedroom-plus-den layouts, high ceilings and screened lanais opening through floor-to-ceiling glass. The northwest stacks are the ones to ask about, with the view running up the preserve toward Wiggins Pass and the Gulf beyond, while the terrace-level residences add private garden terraces beside the pool deck. Common-area elevators serve each floor and every residence includes one under-building garage space. Floor plans are available on request.

Owning and Renting at Barbados

Beneath its renovated lobby, Barbados keeps a private heated pool, spa and outdoor gas grills, and residents enjoy the full 25,000-square-foot Plantation Club with its lagoon pool, tiki bar, Royal Palm Room dining, fitness and spa, tennis and pickleball. The thirty-day rental minimum, twelve leases a year, is shared with Antigua and Cayman and sets the Island Cove towers apart from the Grande Preserve's ninety-day rule; seasonal tenants pay a premium for the short trip to Vanderbilt Beach and Delnor-Wiggins Pass State Park. For owners who want the income without the management, Alpizar Property Management handles furnished seasonal rentals in North Naples with an in-house team. Floridian Club membership generally does not extend to the Island Cove towers.

Barbados FAQs

Where is Barbados located within The Dunes?

Barbados is at 315 Dunes Blvd in the Island Cove section of The Dunes of Naples, off Vanderbilt Drive just north of Bluebill Avenue, standing between the Antigua and Cayman towers a short distance from the Plantation Club and the community's beach-access gate.

Can I rent out a Barbados residence short-term?

Barbados permits leases of thirty days or more, up to twelve times per year, the same flexible policy as Antigua and Cayman. The Grande Preserve towers require ninety-day leases and allow four per year. Confirm current rules in the condominium documents before purchasing.

What is the difference between Barbados and Antigua?

They are twin towers from 2001 with the same floor plans, amenities and rules. Antigua sits nearest the beach gate; Barbados is the center tower, and its northwest stacks look toward Wiggins Pass. Choosing between them usually comes down to the specific residence, floor and exposure available.

Is Barbados on the beach?

No. Barbados sits on the preserve side of Vanderbilt Drive overlooking the mangroves and Turkey Bay, with Gulf and Wiggins Pass views from the western stacks. Vanderbilt Beach and Delnor-Wiggins Pass State Park are a short distance through the community's beach gate.

Does Barbados allow pets?

Yes. Owners may keep two pets, with breed restrictions but no weight limit, consistent with the other towers at The Dunes.

Building details, association policies and fees are subject to change and should be verified with the association and current condominium documents before relying on them.
