Life at the Plantation Club
The club sits at the center of the community, a short distance from every tower and steps from the Sea Grove coach homes, so it functions as the neighborhood's living room rather than a facility you drive to. Mornings run through the fitness center and the tennis courts; afternoons drift to the lagoon pool and the tiki bar; evenings end in the Royal Palm Room or at The Sandbar, where the calendar of member events fills the season. The six guest cottages are the quiet advantage: visiting family stay beside the pool in hotel-caliber rooms without needing a spare bedroom. From May through October, the summer reciprocal program opens dozens of private clubs across Southwest Florida to Dunes members.
The Floridian Club on Vanderbilt Beach
The Floridian Club is a private beach club on the Gulf at Vanderbilt Beach, built for The Dunes and open only to members from eligible residences in the Grande Preserve towers: Grande Dominica, Grande Excelsior, Grande Phoenician and Grande Geneva. A shuttle runs from the tower lobbies to the club, where attendants set chaise lounges, umbrellas and towels on the sand, a Gulf-view pool and bar sit behind the beach, and a dining room and veranda serve lunch and dinner through the season. The club is open daily from 8:30 a.m. until half an hour past sunset, and its calendar runs from beach days to wine tastings and live music.

Is the Plantation Club included with every residence at The Dunes?
Yes. Membership in the Plantation Club, also known as The Club at The Dunes, comes with every tower residence and Sea Grove coach home and is funded through the community's association fees.
Who can join the Floridian Club?
Membership is available only to eligible residences in the four Grande Preserve towers: Grande Dominica, Grande Excelsior, Grande Phoenician and Grande Geneva. Antigua, Barbados, Cayman and Sea Grove were not sold with Floridian Club access, and it cannot be purchased separately.
How much does the Floridian Club cost?
Membership transfers with an eligible residence for a one-time fee paid at closing, followed by annual dues; the transfer fee has run into the tens of thousands of dollars in recent sales, and some sellers include it in their pricing. Ask us for current figures before you write an offer.
Is The Dunes on the beach?
No. The Dunes sits on the preserve side of Vanderbilt Drive overlooking Turkey Bay, with Gulf views from the towers. Vanderbilt Beach and Delnor-Wiggins Pass State Park are a short distance away, and Floridian Club members have private beach service on Vanderbilt Beach with a shuttle from the Grande Preserve lobbies.
Can guests stay at The Dunes without staying in my residence?
Yes. The Plantation Club keeps six private guest cottages beside the pool that owners can reserve for visiting family and friends by the night.
Club facilities, fees, hours and eligibility are set by the associations and clubs and are subject to change; verify current terms with the Plantation Club, the Floridian Club and the condominium documents before relying on them.
