Living in Oakmont
Homes line short cul-de-sacs off Oakmont Parkway — Lynnmore Lane, Shadow Lake Lane, Woodhaven Lane and their neighbors — with shaded paths running lakeside through the neighborhood and on into Waterford and Barrington. Oakmont Park sits at the heart of it with a playground and mature canopy. Lots are larger than elsewhere in Pelican Bay, particularly along the US 41 buffer, and fenced backyards give a privacy that is rare in a master-planned community. The north tram stop and the Community Center's tennis, pickleball and fitness are a short distance away, and Mercato is just north on 41.
Originals, Renovations and Rebuilds
Oakmont's lot sizes and lack of neighborhood-level architectural fees have made it the most active rebuild neighborhood in Pelican Bay. Buyers can choose an original 1980s home to renovate, a fully renovated residence, or a recently completed new-construction home on a legacy lot, with pricing that spans from the low $2 millions to $6 million or more. The absence of a mandatory HOA also means owners carry only the Pelican Bay Foundation assessment. Comparable neighborhoods include Barrington, Pelican Bay Woods and Waterford; see all Pelican Bay single family homes.
