Sometimes you just need to jump on a motorcycle and aimlessly drive through the city, you know?
Ok maybe not specifically a motorcycle... but that's ok, we all have our own way of unwinding.
So today was hectic. I mean, this whole week really... It has been non-stop. Luckily for me, I recently fell in love again with My Triumph Thruxton R. I say "again" because I purchased it 3 years ago and have only had time to ride it a handful of times. In 3 years I have racked up a whopping 705 Miles.
In an effort to relax for a little while... I packed up my camera, started up my bike and took off. As I drove towards the beach, I turned on Vanderbilt Drive to admire all of my favorite Beachfront High Rises.. when I came to the end, I came across this vacant Bayfront Lot with a Spectacular View.
So like any Amateur/Wannabe Photographer would, I pulled in and quickly set up a photoshoot. Cause let's be honest, look at that thing... again may not be your thing. You may be here for my amazing and riveting blog skills.
After about 15 Minutes of putting on a show of awkward photographer shot positions for the passersby (yes, that's a word, I googled it.) I had some shots I was satisfied. 15 minutes of those shenanigans during Summer in Florida will leave you soak in wet in sweat. I must have looked like I had jumped in the bay for a swim.
I needed a quick rest... so I took a seat on a stairway leading directly into the bay. I'd like to say it was peaceful, but nature had something else in mind. There was so much life present, large fish continuously jumping out of the water making a splash, birds singing in the trees and flying through the sunset lit sky.
Pretty amazing setting... started thinking, "I should contact the owner of this lot and see if they'd like to list"... I quickly thought, "No! You're here to relax!". My next thought was, I should go, I'm loitering at this point." Where to? Sunset on Delnor-Wiggins Beach of course.
As I arrive to the beach, I have about 15 minutes before the sun sets and the park closes. That's ok, at this time the beach is pretty much empty and will allow for some great pictures. Well it wasn't completely empty, enough people to make me feel awkward about being on the beach wearing jeans and boots.
Made it to the end of the beach where it meets Wiggins Pass... as boats come back in from a day out on the water you can see the Kalea Bay Towers in the distance. This also marks the end of my short but, relaxing adventure on a Thursday night.
I'll leave you with this, take a moment for yourself and enjoy the small things. I almost never get to enjoy this amazing city I live in and essentially constantly boast about to my clients. It's beautiful out there... so much to see. Get to it. Preferably on a fast motorcycle. ;)
